Couleur Café ’17

Festival time!!!
I’m sharing my camping experiences and giving some tips how to pack smarter!

Every year I go to a festival (or 2). If time permits. Last year we went with the squad to Couleur Café, where we had such an amazing time that we just decided to go there again this year!
For 3 days at this festival with camping you pay less than 100 euros. That’s amazing and makes it very interesting for our wallets. Also your food and drinks at the festival aren’t that expensive.

FRIDAY
Our first day. We arrived in the afternoon and installed our tents. The camping was on the parking around the King Baudouin Stadium. Very nice location because it was next to a metro station and only a 5 minute walk from the festival. Because not all of our friends were there yet, we took our camping seats out and I cracked a cold one open with the boys. Later on we had ‘dinner’ at the festival. Where we waited for the last 2 to arrive.
That night we saw J. Bernardt at the  Blue stage, Patrice at the Red stage and saving the best for last: Roméo Elvis x Le Motel at the Green stage.
To end our day even better and to make sure we weren’t hangover the next day, we stopped at the nacho bar for our nice portion of veggie nachos. I won’t tell you anymore how awesome they were, just look at this picture!

Saturday
Today was going to be a rainy day and damn right it was… But no problem for us. We all slept in, had some breakfast, had a shower and before we knew it we were all outside preboozing and getting ready to go to the festival. I don’t know all the artists we saw, but I’m sure we saw Coely, Niveau 4 and Compact Disk Dummies. Again we had a wonderful night, which ended even better with veggie nachos!

SUNDAY
The last day at the festival. We went to the festival earlier to look for the secret bar and do some activities. It didn’t take us too long before we found it and had a Vodka shot. Pure. Yummie! We got a temporary tattoo. It was not henna, but another plant. It leaves a blue-greyish print. They draw it and than you have to wait for 2 hours before it is dry. After those 2 hours, you can peel it off. After 48 hours you have a dark black drawing.
That day there were a few artist we really wanted to see like Alpha Blondie, Lianne La Havas, Lil Dicky and to go out with a BANG we ended with Damien ‘Jr Gong’ Marley!!!
What a show! Totally loved it. After this show I could go to bed without anything else on my mind.

MONDAY
Time to go home.. Shame, but I enjoyed myself so much. It was a long weekend with many beautiful memories and wonderful people!
