Málaga

Recently I flew to Málaga for work. I was going to operate from there for 2 days and the third day I flew back to Brussels in the morning.
My crew and I were staying at the Double Tree by Hilton hotel. It was a very nice and modern hotel. My hotelroom was clean and perfectly located. I had a small terrace with a seaside view, which was perfect to spend the night with a homemade coffee and Netflix. I also had a bath and a rain shower. This is in my opinion pure luxury!FullSizeRender

The first day I arrived in Málaga it was still pretty early. The whole crew checked in and we went straight for the breakfast buffet. I had never seen a buffet this big and with so much variety. 30 different bread types, muesli, cornflakes, vegetables, fruit, pancakes, waffles, everything for an English breakfast and the possibility to create your own omelet. They served good coffee and Oreo’s to go along with it. Serving Oreo’s is without any doubt gaining extra credit. 😉
After that we showered and all agreed on visiting the centre of Málaga. We went there by train. A return ticket costs you less than 5 euros here. It was about half an hour from our trainstation to the centre.
We made a little walk through the centre and ended up at the boulevard. We did some window shopping and stopped for a drink in a loungy cocktailbar, where I had this beautiful sangría with a bunch of cinnamon sticks.

After our drinks we headed back to the hotel, because the days after that we had to get up at 03:00AM for work.

Málaga is a beautiful city and is certainly worth paying a visit! It is very touristic, but they managed to keep the old spirit and architecture. I didn’t have enough time to walk through the whole city, but from what I saw the older parts are the prettiest.
